The SheArt Network announces its first
Holiday Open House & Studio Sale
to promote the creative endeavors of women artisans.
Artisan Terms: Any woman may register as a member of the SheArt Network to sell original creations at this show. It is a non-juried event. Any artistic medium in will be accepted including paintings, sculpture, pottery, mixed media, home décor, clothing, jewelry, accessories, garden art. Artisans will be responsible for pricing each product and setting up the display of their creations by Dec. 5th, 8 pm. Space will be available on a first come basis. Artisans will be charged a $10 registration fee to be sent in with the application and 10% of their proceeds will be collected at the end of the show to benefit the operations of The SheArt Network. Artisans will be contacted to confirm registration and provide additional details.
A ‘Studio Weekend’ will be held on January 25 - 27 at the “Besse” Home, where artisans can meet, register, and share ideas.
The Artisan Studio Sale will be held at 44 Tonset Road, an historic home located on Town Cove in Orleans, MA. This home will be open to the public following the completion of a two year restoration. The Orleans Historical Society recently presented the 2007 “OURS Award” to this restoration, and Home Remodeling: The Cape, Islands and South Coast magazine will feature the story of the renovation in its Spring, 2008 issue. This venue will be the backdrop for the SheArt sale that will be displayed decoratively throughout the house.
